Cheap International Calls from South Korea

On a recent trip to South Korea we used the Solaris phone card to make calls to the USA. The Solaris card is a premium quality international phone card that can be used to make cheap international calls from more than 100 countries. The rate to the USA from South Korea using the Solaris card is about 10.5 US cents per minute which is relatively cheap compared to other phone cards and the call quality was very good. We only used the card from Seoul but the toll free access number for Korea worked fine. We never found that it was busy or out-of-order. The Solaris card uses a 1 minute rounding interval and has no fees other than a 17% tax (surcharge) for each call. The Solaris card also is highly rated by users with an overall 4.5 star rating out a possible 5 stars.

It is relatively easy to find products for making cheap calls to South Korea from the USA but there are not a lot of products for making cheap international calls from Korea. We researched this before our trip to Korea and found that the cost for making calls from Korea varied widely between phone cards. Some cards, like the AT&T phone card, were relatively expensive at 50 US cents per minute but likely had high quality. The Solaris card was cheap in comparison at 10.5 US cents per-minute with similar call quality. We found some local phone cards in Korea with advertised rates of around 10.5 US cents per-minute so the Solaris card has competitive rates with the competition. It can also be purchased on-line and used from over 100 countries so it is a better option for international travelers than a local phone card that can only be used from Korea.
